As you know I have been doing 3d courses this summer. I have realised that 3D modelling concepts are derived from real world practice. Hopefully this will help when I have to build a chair for my Object class at University!

To keep you updated I am now modelling a motor bike, I will post up my progress (If my computer survives). So get excited!

3D Adventures

As I said at the end of october one of my Summer goal was to do a bit of 3D in a program other than Vectorworks. So I downloaded Maya and have been for the past 3 weeks doing tutorials, mostly theoretical till now!!

This is my second attempt at modelling wheel spokes for a car, this time my computer let me add a texture without freezing but unfortunately not lighting.

 Here is my first ever 3D object in Maya Autodesk, a screw.

The rendering is extremely dark and non professional. Unfortunately my computer kept freezing.

A land across the ocean..

So it has been about 3 months since I took a trip to New Zealand so I thought I would share some of my photos. Sadly as we passed through Milford Sound it was misty, cloudy and raining so I cant say my photos are the best. The other photos are in Dunedin where it was lovely and sunny!
